Glashan Public School - Opening Doors: A Symposium on Student Wellbeing and Mental Health - April 26

The symposium will feature nine breakout sessions on topics related to student wellbeing and mental health. Rapper and music producer Peter Joynt will be the keynote speaker. Representatives from local organizations including Rideauwood, Youthnet, ROH, Ottawa Public Health, CHEO, as well as the Indigenous and LGBTQ communities, will be available to talk with students about topics as diverse as healthy eating, coping with stress, and building resiliency.

Got shoes? Cambridge Street Public School is holding their 2nd annual Shoe Drive from April 1st to May 24th. Drop off your gently used shoes between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m at the school - 250 Cambridge Street North, Ottawa. They are accepting kid's, woman's, and men's shoes, as well as rubber boots. Please note however that winter boots are not being accepted.

Bring your old electronics (TVs, video systems, etc.) and your used clothing to the Used Clothing and E-Recycle event for Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School. The fundraiser is being held on Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m at the Ray Friel Recreation Centre Parking Lot on 1585 Tenth Line Road, Orléans.
