Tomorrow, March 31st, is International Trans Day of Visibility.

It’s dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of trans and gender diverse individuals while raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve trans justice.

It serves as an important reminder of the responsibility we all hold to ensure students of all gender expressions and identities feel safe, welcomed, and accepted in our schools.

At this time, we mark a number of significant religious occasions in our District. Last weekend, the Jewish community celebrated Passover. Next weekend, many Christians will celebrate Easter, with Orthodox Christians marking this at the end of April.

Also, in mid-April, the Islamic community will begin Ramadan.

Despite the current COVID climate, we hope families can all find special ways to mark these important occasions.
