Focus on Youth is a partnership between the Ontario government, Federal Government, school boards, and local community agencies. The Focus on Youth Program provides job opportunities and leadership activities for up to 140 youth.
The OCDSB hires students to help enhance each program. The students take part in leadership, mental health awareness and pre-employment training before working with the non-profit agencies. Student leaders have the opportunity to be mentored and gain valuable leadership experience. Students can also be hired by the OCDSB to help prepare schools for the upcoming school year.
