OCDSB Welcomes Eric Hardie to Superintendent of InstructionThe Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is pleased to welcome Eric Hardie to the position of Superintendent of Instruction. Principal Hardie comes to the role of Superintendent with significant educational and administrative experience, including fourteen years of K-12 leadership in urban and rural settings. Previously, he was the Principal of Experiential Learning in the Upper Canada District School Board.

Director of Education, Camille Williams-Taylor said, “Mr. Hardie is held in high regard for his commitment to equity, community partnerships, and tackling achievement and opportunity gaps.”

Principal Hardie has a well-deserved reputation for building engagement at a system-wide level. In his role of Principal of Experiential Learning, he collaborated as a part of a team to create a district-wide vision to develop and implement curricular –based learning experiences which are purposeful, creative and community-connected.

“I am excited and honoured to be joining the Senior Team in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board," said Eric Hardie. "I am looking forward to building relationships with the Board of Trustees, staff, students, families and the Ottawa community.”
