2025 Student Awards Announced
2024-2025 Student Recognition Award, Mayor’s Award and Excellence in Equity Student Awards Unveiled
The OCDSB is proud to announce the 2024-2025 Student Award winners that celebrate excellence in student leadership. Each year we proudly and publicly honour our senior student leaders through this recognition program, which serves as part of the OCDSB's long-term goal to strengthen our commitment to creating a learning and work environment that encourages positive outcomes for all students and staff.
Student Recognition Award
The Student Recognition Awards recognize students who have demonstrated personal initiative, supported by the will to succeed, the dedication to finish what they started, and the commitment to achieve their personal best and to achieve a positive outcome in their secondary school or alternate site.
Mayor’s Award
This award honours a graduating student in each secondary and/or Alternate program site whose “demonstration of excellence in student service” in their school is considered worthy of recognition by the Mayor of Ottawa. This award recognizes a student who performs exceptional service for others in their school or community with individual exceptional acts or longstanding quiet commitment and dedication to making the lives of others better.
Excellence in Equity Student Recognition Award
The Excellence in Equity Student Recognition Award recognizes a Grade 12 student who has demonstrated personal initiative to achieve a positive, safe and inclusive school climate.
