Michael Cheng is psychiatrist at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario; an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa, and the co-founder of eMentalHealth.ca, which provides information to families and professionals about mental health and resources.

He helps families cope with modern society by helping them (re)attach to nature, people and other things that give purpose and meaning.

As a parent of two school-aged children, he has lived firsthand the challenge of staying connected to nature and fellow humans in an increasingly virtual world, particularly under the new normal of pandemic parenting.
