Employee Conflict of Interest Policy Consultation

We are deeply appreciative of the comments submitted regarding the revision of Policy P.024.HR Employee Conflict of Interest and are happy to report that the consultation is closed. 

With the feedback received from our consultations, a revised draft will be shared with the Ad Hoc Policy Committee for initial approval on April 4, 2024 and subsequently with the Board on April 25, 2024, for final approval.

The OCDSB is currently reviewing its Policy P.024.HR Employee Conflict of Interest to streamline the language and clarify direction to employees. The current content has been reviewed through an equity and human rights lens to ensure its alignment with other relevant policies, including Policy P.147.GOV Human Rights and Policy P.146.HR Equitable Recruitment, Hiring, and Promotion.

The proposed revisions to the Employee Conflict of Interest policy are being presented to the Ad Hoc Policy Committee for feedback on December 7th, 2023. You can find the report and the revised policy.

We welcome your feedback on the draft policy by emailing [email protected] by January 5th, 2024. The revised policy integrating the feedback will be presented to the Ad Hoc Committee for approval on April 4th, 2024 and to the Board of Trustees for final approval on April 25th, 2024.
