Vehicle Components and Design

The Transportation SHSM at Osgoode Township High School will allow students to gain a substantial understanding of how vehicles' engines are designed, their component parts and of jobs related to this industry. The SHSM will include students designing and manufacturing components (eg. steering mechanisms, suspension, brakes, drive trains, etc.) of a small vehicle such as a go-cart as well as experience working within the transportation sector through a coop placement with one of our many community partners. Our SHSM is special in that it will include exposure to vehicles involved in farming and rural life.
