Share Your Feedback: Cooperative Education and Experiential Learning Policy

At the OCDSB, secondary students can participate in experiential learning, which takes place in the community and allows students to connect their learning with their career and life planning. Co-Operative Education (Co-Op) is an important part of experiential learning.

The District is currently reviewing its Policy P.102.CUR, Cooperative Education and Experiential Learning. The proposed revisions align with recent Ministry of Education guidelines and highlight the need for placements that are meaningful, relevant, and that support all students in their authentic pathway choices.

The policy was discussed at the Ad Hoc Policy Committee’s meeting on April 4, 2024. View the District’s report to the Committee, along with the proposed draft of the policy.

Feedback on the policy will be accepted until May 10, 2024. Learn more and share your input on Engage OCDSB.
