Get Ready for Final Evaluations: Important Dates and Preparation Tips for (Semestered) High School Students

final evaluations important dates and preparation tips

As the end of the semester approaches, students in semestered high school courses will soon have to complete their final evaluations. While throughout their courses, students regularly showcase their learning, these evaluations are a crucial part of the learning process, allowing students to demonstrate their understanding of the material they’ve studied throughout the course.

Final evaluations can take many forms, including but not limited to projects, presentations, reports, exit interviews, language assessments, performances, essays, and exams.

The final evaluation period is scheduled from January 24, 2025, to January 30, 2025. During this period, all students are expected to attend their scheduled final evaluations. These evaluations are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and understanding of course material.

In the weeks leading up to the evaluations, teachers will meet individually with students to review their Student Evidence Records. These meetings will help students understand how best to prepare for the final assessments.

To avoid scheduling conflicts, it is crucial that students and families remain aware of the specific dates, times, and methods for each evaluation. Information will be shared by schools and teachers, so watch for these updates as the final evaluation period approaches.

We acknowledge and understand that these final evaluations may be stressful. This Managing Stress During Exams and Deadlines video shares tips that can be helpful.

Should you have any questions or concerns about your student’s final evaluations, don’t hesitate to contact their teachers or school for more details and assistance.
