Reach Ahead Credit Summer Program

2024 Summer Reach Ahead Credit Program (Grade 9-12)

Grade 8 students, to register please go to “How to Register”.

Registration: April 4 at 12:00 pm - June 17, 2024 by 4:00 pm
Program duration: July 4 - July 26, 2024
Class Times:  8:30 am - 3:35 pm

The Reach Ahead Credit Program provides an opportunity for students to supplement and enrich their High School Education by acquiring one credit. Students who have already successfully completed a course but want to upgrade their mark are eligible to repeat a course in the Reach Ahead Credit Program. In-person courses are available, as well as remote (virtual) courses that are offered through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous online instruction. A student may only enroll in one Summer School credit course of any kind in Summer School (i.e., one Reach-ahead course or one eLearning course, etc).

Students enrolled in virtual courses will participate in both synchronous and asynchronous learning throughout the school day based on a predetermined schedule (will be shared upon acceptance into the course). Students enrolled in virtual courses will need access to a device and reliable internet throughout the day. Students who require a device will need to make arrangements with their home school.

Important:

  • Students are required to attend the full Summer School session (110 hours) to meet curriculum expectations outlined by the Ministry of Education. Vacations and holidays should not be taken for the duration of the course.
  • A student may only enroll in one Summer School credit course of any kind (i.e., one Reach Ahead course or one eLearning course, etc).
  • Students are expected to be in Canada during the duration of the session.
