The OCDSB is part of what is termed the broader public sector (BPS). As a BPS organization, the District must comply with directives issued by the Government of Ontario. One of the directives requires that key financial and business documents be accessible from a single webpage. In accordance with the directive, the following links provide access to relevant documents.
- Annual Operating and Capital Budgets
- Consolidated Financial Statements
- Director's Annual Report
- Strategic Plan
- BPS Business Documents Directive

We are required to prepare and approve an annual plan, and bi-annual report on our special education programs and services. We review the plan and amend it to meet the current needs of our exceptional students and then submit any amendments(s) to the Ministry of Education for review. The 2023-2024 Special Education Plan was developed by the Special Education Advisory Committee of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and Community Members.
The Special Education Plan follows guidelines outlined in the Ministry of Education's "Standards for School Board's Special Education Plans". Our Special Education Plan incorporates a vision of inclusion that accepts and supports that all children's individual strengths and needs. Our plan recognizes that some students with special needs may require more specialized or intensive programs and services.
