Shawn Lehman is the Superintendent of Employee Services. Prior to this role, he was the Superintendent of Instruction for South Schools within the OCDSB. He was involved in the development of the Ottawa Carleton Virtual (OCV) schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in 2020, now overseeing OCV Kindergarten to Grade 6 schools in 2021-2022.
During his career, Shawn has worked in three school boards, including the Upper Canada District School Board, the Limestone District School Board, and the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. He has experience as a teacher and Principal in both elementary and secondary schools. Shawn currently facilitates the Supervisory Officers Qualification Program for the Ontario Public Supervisory Officer Association, and has led various system portfolios including student success, instruction, and technology.
Some of Shawn’s recent achievements include restructuring the OCDSB’s Business and Learning Technologies to better meet the needs of the organization, and leading the development of a 3 year OCDSB technology plan, “Transforming How We Learn and Work”. For the 2020-2021 school year, Shawn also co-led the development of all Ottawa Carleton Virtual Schools, which served 16,000 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
