Adult High School Registration

Adult High School is a full-time regular semestered day school offering high school courses. Classes run from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 2.30 p.m.

We specialize in working with adults from a wide variety of backgrounds and offer teacher-led credit courses which lead to an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. We promote literacy, numeracy, and technology through all departments: English, English as a Second Language, Social Science, Arts, Physical Education, Guidance/Career and Cooperative Education, Business and Technology, Mathematics, and Science.

We are a multicultural school that offers ESL to help adult students who are new to Canada or who have been in Canada for a while but still need help to acquire English skills required for success in the workplace or in post-secondary education.

In addition to our regular classroom programs, students can take advantage of the following opportunities:

  • Our Cooperative Education Program, which provides opportunities for adult students to gain workplace knowledge and experience while earning credits toward a graduation diploma.

  • As a mature student, your personal experiences can be recognized and you can earn Ontario high school credits through the PLAR process (Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition). Experiences can be through work, parenting, care-giving, training, certifications, volunteering, and more.

  • Dual credit programs, which allow eligible students to take college or apprenticeship courses that count towards their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and a post-secondary certificate, diploma, degree or a Certificate of Apprenticeship.
