The goal of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) department is to obtain the best overall value for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board in meeting the requirements of our school learning environments and learning resources. Competitive bidding is the process used in obtaining all our purchases, and represents an opportunity for the vendor community.
We welcome vendors who are committed to providing quality goods and services in a timely fashion.
Using bids & tenders
The OCDSB uses bids&tenders, an eProcurement tool, for all vendor bids and submissions. You must be registered as a Business System Vendor on the platform in order to do business with the OCDSB.
If you are not registered, Bidders are invited to create a free Bidding System Vendor account. Go to the “Create a new account” page on the bids&tenders platform and follow the instructions to register.
For more information on how to register and how to use the platform, refer to the Vendor User Guide.
Vendors will benefit from the following:
- No subscription fees (for OCDSB opportunities only)
- Automatic notifications of new bid opportunities, addenda, site meeting reminders & bid results
- Unlimited document downloads and addenda notices
- Unlimited category subscription for bid matching
- Access to bid results after evaluation
- Customized vendor dashboard that allows quick access to active opportunities and bid history
- Self-serve profile management
- Ability to add up to 10 contacts to your account
Bids&tenders invites you to watch a previously recorded webinar where we provide a demonstration of the new tool. Watch the webinar.
The SCM Department is committed to following the SCM Broader Public Sector (BPS) Code of Ethics. While the District will make every effort to inform registered vendors of relevant bid opportunities, it will not be liable for any failure to do so.
