Our educators need the knowledge, skills and resources to create equitable and inclusive learning environments. This includes ongoing professional development on topics such as culturally responsive teaching, anti-racism, understanding bias, accommodating diverse learners and creating safe and welcoming spaces. Investing in staff capacity is crucial for effective implementation of equitable practices.
Direction
Build staff awareness and capacity: Agility to unlearn, learn and relearn, apply and embody culturally responsive and relevant pedagogy, inclusive design and a decolonized, anti-racist, equity and inclusive lens to create a safe and welcoming learning and workplace culture.
