February 13, 2025: Student transportation cancelled, OCDSB schools remain open
All school buses and vans serving the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board will be cancelled tomorrow, Thursday, February 13, 2025, due to poor weather conditions.
For students assigned to public transit (Presto), OC Transpo has advised that all 600-series school routes and any school trips on regular routes will not operate tomorrow.
OCDSB schools will be open. Parents and caregivers are welcome to drop off their children at school and pick them up at regular bell times. The Extended Day Program will also be open for registered students.
We are continuing to monitor the forecasts and communicate with the City of Ottawa. If there are any changes, we will provide an update accordingly.
The decision to cancel buses is the responsibility of the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA), which manages student transportation for the OCDSB and Ottawa Catholic School Board.
OCDSB Events
Our Resource Fair: Transition Planning for Youth with Developmental Disabilities will be rescheduled to March 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Kindergarten Information Nights at General Vanier Public School, Manotick Public School and Mino Mikan Elementary School have been rescheduled to February 20th. Wazoson Public School has moved their information night to February 19th. Please check the website for an up-to-date information night schedule.
Weather Safety
The City of Ottawa has declared a Significant Weather Event and advises the public to exercise caution when using City sidewalks, roads and the winter cycling network.
While schools remain open, we encourage families to closely follow the weather warnings in place and be extra cautious should you choose to walk or drive to school.
EarlyON Centres
EarlyON program delays and/or closures may occur. Please contact the school before attending an OCDSB EarlyON Centre.
Community Use of Schools Permits
Community Use rentals have been cancelled for the evening of February 13.

Students who are not attending school are encouraged to monitor their class Learning Management System (LMS), should the teacher have an opportunity to post learning materials.
