Bateman Bobcats Fill Hearts and Shelves with Generosity

Bateman Bobcats Fill Hearts and Shelves with Generosity

Robert Bateman Public School's ‘Food from the Heart’ campaign proved that even small communities can make a significant impact. The Hunt Club Park school rallied together, demonstrating an outpouring of generosity for the local Ottawa South Pavilion Food Bank.

The school's students, affectionately known as the Bateman Bobcats, collected an impressive 500 kilograms of food. But their giving spirit didn't stop there. Alongside the substantial food donations, the community contributed $1,745.50 in monetary donations.

This generous effort will provide crucial support to the Pavilion Food Bank, ensuring that those in need within the neighbourhood have access to essential food items. Principal Jeff Griesbach expressed immense pride in the school's collective commitment to giving back.

The success of the ‘Food from the Heart’ campaign is a testament to the caring spirit of the Bateman Bobcats, and a shining example of community solidarity.
